This book adds many things to the plot and after reading this book I u nderstand more of the ju-on and the whys and some questions I wondered after seeing the movie. Well the initial parts are way better and the plot was well conceived.I enjoyed the book and read only at night/5. This novelization covers the Ju-on cycle; Ju-on: The Curse, Ju-on: The Grudge, and Ju-on II.

It also provides spoilers for the American films The Grudge and the Grudge 2. The original Japanese direct-to-video short films in The Curse are diffcult to find in the US, and fortunately they aren't absolutely necessary to understanding and 4/5(16). The art for this book is excellent, having an almost realistic feel to it.

Like the movie and the manga book before it, this contains violence, death, and a few surprising creepy images. There is no schoolgirl sequence as in the film, though I thought that was out of place anyway.
