This book provides readers with a snapshot of recent methods for non-stationary vibration analysis of machinery. It covers a broad range of advanced techniques in condition monitoring of machinery, such as mathematical models, signal processing and pattern recognition methods and artificial intelligence methods, and their practical applications to the analysis of nonstationarities. This workshop will focus on the four primary condition monitoring technologies: vibration, infrared thermography, ultrasound and oil analysis. Beginning with an explanation of the applications for each technology, Walter Barringer will cover what the technologies can and cannot do when integrated into a condition monitoring program.

The CIGRE Romanian National Committee, as organizer and CNTEE Transelectrica (the Romanian TSO) as co-organizer, invite you to the International Conference on Condition Monitoring, Diagnosis and Maintenance - CMDM (5th edition) that will take place in Bucharest, September 9 th th , at Radisson Blu Hotel. The basic principle of condition monitoring is to select a physical measurement which indicates that deterioration is occurring, and then to take readings at regular intervals. Any upward trend can then be detected and taken as an indication that a problem exists. This is illustrated in Figure which shows a typical trend curve and the way in which this provides an alert that an incipient.

The combination of the efforts of two leading organisations creates the largest event of its kind at a truly international level and builds on the highly successful series of 14 international Condition Monitoring Conferences organised by BINDT.
Monitoring and evaluation is not an add-on at the end - start early and build monitoring and evaluation into the project from the beginning 3. Negotiate between stakeholders to decide what to monitor and evaluate 4.
Indicators should be objective, verifiable and clearly understood by all stakeholders 5. The book describes both theoretical developments and a number of industrial case studies, which cover different topics, such as: noise and vibrations in machinery, conditioning monitoring in non-stationary operations, vibro-acoustic diagnosis of machinery, signal processing, application of pattern recognition and data mining, monitoring and diagnostic systems, faults detection, dynamics of structures and.
